Whistler - Mountain High

If you’re a skier, then you know there’s big as in Squaw Valley, there’s really big as in Vail and then there’s Whistler Blackcomb. Whistler opened for skiing in February 1966 with a gondola, a double chairlift and a T-bar. Today, the two mountains offer over 8,100 acres of skiable terrain accessed by more than 30 lifts and featuring more than 200 trails – some of them nice and gentle, some of them challenging and difficult and some of them, “holy toledo, what the heck am I doing here?” If you love skiing, good food, beautiful scenery and great nightlife, a trip here is a must.
